Michigan State University Trademarks and Licensing was honored with an Operation Hat Trick (OHT) Excellence in Service Award during the CLC Summit in Kansas City on May 13, 2026. The award recognizes universities that go above and beyond in supporting wounded service members and veterans through meaningful campus engagement, community outreach and charitable impact.
The OHT Excellence in Service program celebrates collegiate institutions that demonstrate a commitment to making a difference beyond the sale of licensed merchandise. By leveraging the power of collegiate brands and the passion of their fan bases, participating universities help raise awareness and provide meaningful support for those who have served our country.
As part of the recognition program, each participating university selects a veteran-focused nonprofit organization to receive a charitable donation made by OHT on the institution's behalf.
Michigan State University proudly selected the Stronger Warrior Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping active-duty service members, veterans and their families remain strong financially, mentally and physically. Through its mission, the foundation works to provide resources, assistance and opportunities that strengthen the well-being of military families and those who have dedicated their lives to serving others.
For MSU Trademarks and Licensing, the recognition reinforces the important role that collegiate licensing can play in supporting causes that extend well beyond campus.
